With over 10 years of experience in the medical field as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
and Certified Respiratory Educator, I have witnessed firsthand the immense impact that
effective chronic disease management can make in a person’s life
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with patients—not only to help them understand their conditions, but to equip them with the tools they need to live well, even in the face of ongoing challenges. Whether it’s identifying triggers, developing personalized action plans for flare-ups, or strengthening coping strategies, my focus has always been on empowering individuals to take control of their health and improve their overall well-being.
But my experience also revealed something deeper: a widespread and often overlooked issue in our society—the lack of focus on prioritizing ourselves, no matter our age or stage of life. I’ve seen so many people silently struggling with disconnection, a loss of purpose, and an overwhelming sense of burnout.
Why do we wait until everything feels unbearable before we begin to take care of ourselves? Why aren’t we taught how to thrive, rather than simply survive? Somewhere along the way, self-care became confused with indulgence, and we began to believe that strength means pushing through pain, rather than honoring our own needs.
The truth is, real strength lies in self-awareness—in knowing when to pause, when to ask for help, and when to choose ourselves. We’re taught to believe that putting ourselves first is selfish, that our worth is measured by how much we do for others. But like the oxygen mask analogy—we cannot support others effectively if we’re running on empty ourselves.
This realization inspired me to create LAWKI Life Coaching and become a Certified Life Coach. My mission is to empower others to live with purpose and intention. I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself, create balance, and build a life that truly feels fulfilling. Because when we prioritize our mental, emotional, and physical health, everything else becomes lighter—and change becomes sustainable.
